SFSU Retention and Graduation

San Francisco State University is committed to the success of our students and strives to improve their progress toward graduation. At the institution level, we graduates just over 50% of our first-time freshmen in six years and over 70% of new undergraduate transfers in four years. By 2025, our goal is to raise the six-year graduation rates by 15.8% for students entering SFSU as freshmen, and by 13.4% for students entering as transfers. Also, we aim to raise freshman and transfer rates for students from lower income, first generation and under-represented minority groups.
